The Harold Taylor Trophy June 2021

Thank you to everyone who attended the match on Sunday 27th June and a special thank you to Alistair Gibson for donating a Wine bottle holder that we gave away as the prize for the best individual fish. Rob Hougton also came along, but couldn’t fish as he’s fractured his arm – get well soon mate

The scores on the doors were…

1) Chris Plant 4lb 1.12oz including a 3lb 1.12oz Bream

2) Bob Hallworth 4lb .32oz including a 2lb 2.24oz male Tench

3) Gareth Roberts 1lb 3.84oz

4) Andy Southern 1lb 2.08oz

5) Tony Bardsley 1lb 1.6oz

6) Pete Boyce 1lb .96oz

Joint 7) Richard Storrs, Stu Drabble, Alistair Gibson & the courageous Nick Hunt who, bravely, took the Booby prize home!

It was a tough day at Hunters with all the weights very low – and only won by .8 of an ounce! But, very well deserved, Chris Plant. He’d been working before the match (as a Fireman), so was probably quite tired as well. Bob Hallworth did a sterling job coming second and, a relatively new member, Gareth Roberts, sneaked third.

We enjoyed the usual banter and I think everyone is very much looking forward to the next time we pit ourselves against each other and Hunters as well!
