Working Parties
There’s always a lot to do at Hunters to keep it in shape for a great day’s angling. Although hard work, we try and stop for Refreshments (Sausage & Bacon Butties and soft drinks too) and a chat about whatever takes our fancy. From important club issues to sharp banter, it’s all about camaraderie and fun.

March Working Party
The first Working Party of the year. An opportunity to get Hunters ready for a great year’s fishing and enjoying the surroundings!
April Working Party
We’ve a lot to do to neaten up Hunters Pool, so any help would be appreciated. Please let the Committee know via the WhatsApp group if you are able to attend. This weekend is very important to a idyllic year at Hunters, it’s an opportunity to keep the pool and surroundings ready for a great year’s fishing!
May/June Working Party
As well as a general tidying up of Hunters Pool, this Work Party will be almost wholly focussed on the new pegs, levelling out the surface, planting wildflowers, sowing grass seed and building new pegs.
July Working Party/Meeting
An opportunity to keep on top of all the things we need to do to keep Hunters Pool looking fabulous.
October Working Party
The last Working Party of the year. We’ll be getting Hunters ready for the Winter including jobs like: mowing the grass, taking back some trees, trimming brambles and nettles. Levelling flags on pegs and splitting and replanting lilies, as well as tidying up peg numbers.
