The Windmill Angling Club Trophy – September 2021

A cool & overcast but dry day at Hunters Pool with the water level low but still looking impressive as always!

Fish were being caught around the pool and with Gareth taking an early lead, Nick was catching Roach and Perch on a regular basis welcoming the fresh air whilst recovering from his birthday the night before! Stuart was having some real bad luck, losing at least 3 Carp and with Ray continually pulling them out at the dam end, it was going to be close! Chris was relaxing at the bench peg and even had time to check how well his landing net floated until he was called into action with 10 minutes to go! Landing the fish of the day, a 7lb plus bream it was match over!

5) Stuart Drabble 2lb 5oz – who went on to reclaim the “Booby Prize” from a relieved Nick Hunt

With all said and done it was a good afternoons fishing with a great bunch of guys! Looking forward to the next one.
